Become a member of theVillage
In order for theVillage to successfully assist families and fulfill our goals, it is our belief that we (theVillage and you) are in a partnership. Just as in any relationship each party has their own responsibilities. As an affirmation of your commitment to the growth of your family through education and empowerment and your belief in our program there is a membership responsibility. We call this an annual investment.
With your membership, our responsibility is as follows:
- to distribute a quarterly newsletter with updates of classes, new research in the field of maternal and child health and outreach projects;
- to provide unlimited access [phone and/or email] to a lactation specialist;
- to provide monthly support groups to meet our parents’ needs;
- to provide every member with a Doula* (a labor & birthing assistant) at a minimal fee;
- to provide one-on-one lactation consultations at a member discount;
- to provide a lending library;
- to provide discounted prenatal, breastfeeding and parenting classes at responsible/reasonable rates;
- to provide a 10% discount on all products in theVillage Store;
- to provide 10% – 20% discounts from business partnerships;
- and to supply a few other ‘perks’ to our new members.
Membership is $50yr for family of 4
